Mustang Adventure Trek Pvt. Ltd. is a trekking company established by Tsewang J. Bista, nephew of the Late King of Mustang, who has been working in this field since 1994, a few years after Mustang was opened up to the outside world. MAT is a member of the TAAN, NMA and has been registered under the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation Nepal. The philosophy of the company: Is to provide all visitors an unmatched experience of the Himalayan region of Nepal. We wish to offer private journeys which in simple terms refer to offering clients trekking experience which is unique and matches their personal likes and abilities. The company professes to make your visit a special hassle free experience by taking care of every back ground details. We wish to utilize local infrastructure and local manpower as to uplift the lives of the people who open their homes and hearts to all visitors. We particularly specialize in treks to the region of Mustang as this being our home country. We prefer to explore and show all visitors special sites and places which have rarely been treaded.
About Tsewang Jonden Bista
Tsewang Jonden Bista, born in Charang, Mustang is the nephew of the Late King of Mustang. He is a tourism entrepreneur, social worker and conducts specialized tours to Mustang his homeland. He has been working in Mustang for the last Twenty Six (26) years and has in depth knowledge of the locales,customs and practices and attempts always to show case Mustang to the outer world.He has worked with National Geography, Discovery Channel and WGBH USA.He is also a founding member of the non governmental organization called Lo Gyalpo Jigme Foundation for Cultural Conservation which works in Upper Mustang to uplift the life of the Lobas and conserve the rich cultural heritage of his ancestors. He has also authored a booklet in collaboration with UNESCO on Teji festival which is one of the most important and famous festival of Mustang.
